A total of 343 firefighters died on that tragic morning of September 11, ten years ago this week. Most had rushed towards the stricken World Trade Center towers to try and rescue the hundreds of innocent civilians caught up in the terrorist atrocities. This 9/11 teddy bear remembrance figurine pays tribute to the brave firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty on the day that will live on in memory for many decades to come.

The intricately designed anniversary figurine depicts the representation of a firefighter and will make a particularly appealing feature in a patriotic household with children. The American flag flutters proudly in the background whilst the bear holds a New York City Fire Department silver helmet overs his heart out of respect for the dead. The base presents an inscription reading “God Bless America”, a phrase close to the lips of all Americans and indeed people across the world, in the days that followed the terrorist attacks.

Nearly 3000 people died on 9/11 and the painful memories are often relived every anniversary year, especially this week, marking a whole decade since the tragic events occurred. It was the worst terrorist atrocity to occur on US soil in American history and touched the hearts of millions globally. The 343 FDNY firefighters, together with the 23 NYPD police officers, 37 Port Authority Police officers and 15 paramedics, who died on that day, showed bravery beyond all expectation and have since been immortalized in numerous ways. This teddy bear American Hero 9-11 Remembrance Figure is just one and a fine one it is too.
