Canadian interior designer Candice Olson is a well-known face when it comes to home décor in the United States and her native Canada. Her new book “Candice Olson Kitchens and Baths” comes out this month (March 2011) and is set to rocket up the book charts as people snap up her popular advice and tips on designing your kitchen and bathroom interiors. All this with a tight budget in mind during the rather worrisome economic times taking place.
For decorating and design enthusiasts in North America, Olson will be most familiar as the woman who hosts the home make-over shows such as “Divine Design” and “Candice Tells All”. Earlier in her life she completed an Interior Design degree at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada, before developing her skills and talent at a number of Canada’s top interior design firms. She then moved into television and finally to writing books on Interior Décor, as can now be seen with her new book out later this month.
The kitchen and bathroom are two rooms in the average American home which are renovated and redesigned the most. Candice Olson’s book therefore concentrates on these two particular interiors and offers tips, ideas and inspiration for sprucing-up these important spaces in the domestic home. Inside the book readers can expect to discover 100s of “before and after” photographs of made-over interiors, plus advice on choosing color schemes, materials, furnishings and design themes.
Olson’s fun and approachable style is a winning formula when it comes to decorating books and her previous title proved highly popular and received rave reviews.
