Home Wooden Sewing Machine and Craft Table

I was watching a television documentary about World War Two in Britain the other day. They touched on the old maxim “mend and make do” in regards to clothing and fabrics, which was popular during the 1940’s and 1950’s. Of course, nowadays, this old saying is not relevant in many cases due to the different materials we use in clothing and the wide availability of fabrics that are relatively cheap. Our affluence has also grown since those war weary days.

It was with this fact in mind that I searched for a decent looking sewing machine and craft table online. Depending on the size of the home, it is often sensible to set aside a separate room especially for crafting, sewing and similar activities. This in turn means a room can be designed around the functional aspect of the particular fabric craft.

The home wooden sewing machine and craft table as pictured above is made from a solid wood and wood veneer construction. A cottage oak finish compliments the structure and allows it to blend in with most types of interior design. The table is sturdy enough to carry all types of sewing machine and also long enough to accommodate larger fabrics that might need adjusting such as curtains and bed linens.

One of the most frustrating elements of using a regular dining table or desk is the fact that it’s too easy to loose important bits and pieces. There’s also the added task of hauling out all the equipment, perhaps from a separate room or cupboard area. However, this home wooden sewing machine desk comes with a number of drawers and compartments for easy storage. In these can be placed threads, bobbins, machine parts, rotary cutters, tracing paper and spare patchworks.

If you’re looking for a sewing machine and craft table made from good quality wood, then this table will be ideal. You can read more about it as well as see further pictures by visiting this page: Home Wooden Sewing Machine and Craft Table.

It’s priced at: $298

That looks wonderful! It is just perfect for my sewing machine, fabrics, carbons, scissors, pins, needles, colours and all the little bits and pieces I collect. They generally end up in bags stuffed in my cupboard, something like this is perfect for organising them and I love that it has a nice workspace too and wheels!! 😀

Great looking sewing cabinet! Actually, making do was a way of life through the Great Depression, then into the WWII era. And, like everything else, all things old are new again.
