For a young urban trendy professional, designing a new apartment or house can be an exciting experience. In most cases, the needs and considerations of children, elderly relatives and even spouses will be irrelevant, meaning more focus can be had on ‘wild’ designs. A bachelor (or bachelorette) pad can be an environment where interior design experimentation can really be let loose. It’s also a chance to explore and showcase your own individual personality and artistic nature.
The pictures presented in this post show an example of this type of home. It’s a trendy property located in the Paddington area of the Australian city of Sydney. The interior is innovative, bold and memorable as one can see.
It’s a long slim house which could have caused a claustrophobic atmosphere. However, this potential problem has been worked around by the creation of an open plan interior which leads to a larger looking space as well as more natural daylight.
Notice the skylights which provide a wonderful dose of natural light into what would otherwise be a rather dark interior. The bedroom here has an inlaid glass floor.
