The foyer in the home interior is usually a small entry area comprised of either a little room or hallway. It’s always your guest’s first impression when they enter your home and so getting the design right is important for most people.
With this in mind, I’ve found 5 fantastic foyer examples which can hopefully inspire you when it comes to designing your own entrance hall.
This chocolate brown entryway was designed by Ned Marshall. The floor was painted in a tone-on-tone gray marbleized plaid. A super shot of hot pink was added to the scene in the form of the sofa you see facing the entrance door. The walls were painted Benjamin Moore’s Bittersweet Chocolate.
This entrance hall has the sun shining even on a cloudy day. A yellow tone-on-tone striped wallpaper from Nina Campbell’s Bodleian collection enhances the mood of this space. The black and white chessboard flooring adds a formal air.
This romantic foyer combines the styles of French excellence and Californian flamboyance. It was designed by Stephen Shubel. A Louis XVI-style chair sits next to a petrified tree trunk whilst above there is a large horse photo by Susan Friedman. One thing I would severely question is the rather ghastly zebra skin rug.
A Pennsylvania farmhouse is showcased in this photograph. Designed by Jeffrey Bilhuber, this foyer is colored with a regal blue based on a tone he had seen at Mount Vernon. Note the painted flooring and the particularly delightful stencilled motifs. A 1920′s sofa is covered in Le Gracieux’s Kirachi.
This Long Island entryway is painted in a Blue Seafoam by Benjamin Moore. Designer Ruthie Sommers decided that the 18th-century floorboards were best simply sanded and waxed, and I quite agree. They look wonderful. Perfect interior space for enhancing natural light.
